- Iron Thunder Cycles is a motorcycle shop located in Raleigh NC. We service all motorcycles of all types. "It's not what you ride it's that you ride" That's what's important to us. We do specialize in Harley Davidson motorcycles but we are not limited to them. MIKE HILLMAN comes from Kalamazoo Choppers and Cool City Customs and was foreman at Milwaukee Harley Davidson for seven years. He has 8 years in the United States Marines as a helocopter mechanic and 20+ years as a motorcycle mechanic, fabricator, and designer including exhaust pipes and frames. Mike has held positions in the top four for five years racing his own builds nationally in the A M R A. Ted is one of our master Techs. He owned Vision Cyles in Durham after three years in operation..we contacted him because we needed a Top Notch Tech..He now works for us and is the Lead Tech in the shop. Willie Clark is our parts master. He has over 11 years in the motorsports industry and worked at Twin Specialties in Raleigh for eleven years. Willie can find almost anything anywhere. We're glad he's here. Our bikes have been on the cover of "Road Bike" magazine, Center fold for Sept 05 "Road Bike" magazine, Center fold for" American Iron" Magazine. Cover of "US Rider News" along with winning the" Rats Hole" biker build off in Daytona and the Liquid Steel bike show. We took 1st place at the "Easy Rider" show twice and have a Honda Rune that we built in the Barber motorcycle Museum and has been the center fold for"Cruiser magazine" We built a 01 Harley Dyna that held the land speed record for 1600 cc push rod class at a 147 mph with just a 1550 122 HP twin cam motor we built years ago. We have found that simply treating our customers as we would like to be treated and doing good work along with being fair and honest has gone a long way ....It has made us able to grow to 5 times of what we were when we opened ..Please tell your friends about us that's what keeps us busy......
